Bridge It Up!

Bridge It Up! won Fan Fave at the 2015 Cut to the Chase Film Festival. Cut to the Chase asks you to make a movie specifically for their festival, and the way they prove this is by asking you to implement a “key element.” The key element for 2015 was “bridge.”

I had wanted to make a film for Cut to the Chase for a few years, but I could never come up with a story I could tell in 8 minutes that incorporated the previous words (“100” and “vice“). So after “bridge” was announced, every time my girlfriend Rebecca Fitzgerald and I would see a bridge, we’d point it out and brainstorm ideas. Eventually Rebecca said I should just make that the short film — just have my character from Top 3 Disney World Poots point out every bridge he sees and say random things about them.
